Traveling Medicine

From the dangers of sunburn at high altitude and parasitic infections; to vaccine preventable diseases and foods to avoid; our Travel Medicine Specialists will give you all the tools you need to be informed and protected on your international trip. Our Travel Medicine Specialists will discuss recommendations (from the CDC, WHO and other sources) and requirements based on your destinations, activities, time of year, altitude and medical history.You should schedule your appointment with Travel Medicine Specialist 4-6 weeks prior to your departure date. However, we will always accomodate last minute travelers.

As a one-stop travel medicine clinic Advanced Medical Health Services carries all travel vaccines necessary to protect you on your vacation, safari, mission trip, study abroad semester, business trip, or intercountry adoption.

Traveler’s Medical Service maintains an inventory of a complete range of routine,recommended and travel vaccines including yellow fever, rabies and Japanese encephalitis. In addition we offer vaccines that may be necessary for school entry, immigration and primary care needs such as vaccination against shingles and varicella “chicken pox”. Traveler’s Medical Service provides travel vaccinations for travelers of all ages including children.

Individual vaccination recommendations and requirements will vary based on your specific situation, itinerary and health history. Before we administer vaccinations, we make sure that you receive the appropriate information and recommendations to help you make informed decisions about the vaccines that are indicated for you.
